Weather - Reality / Temps - Realite (1)

Nothing is ever more important than the weather to an Englishman...

It is therefore not a surprise that a weather-based work of art should have been installed at Tate Modern, London.
Olafur Eliasson is the author and the mind behind this amazing installation: artificial mist, giant semi-circular sun and mono-frequency lamps.
It created an eerie atmosphere in the Turbine Hall of the once power station now turned into a museum of contemporary art. People felt like lying on the floor, such was the soothing effect of the light and the surroundings; such was the reality of it all.
This is a view from the bridge.

This was also recently used for the Paris Opera-Bastille advertising campaign.
A work of art becomes a world to inhabit...Posted by Picasa

Rien n'est plus important que le climat pour l'Anglais.
Aussi n'est-il pas surprenant qu'une oeuvre fondee sur le temps ait ete installee dans Londres (Tate Modern)...
Une oeuvre d'art qui devient un monde habitable...
